HOOD RIVER — Several Hood River Latino nonprofits will be receiving $83,500 in total from Oregon Community Foundation, including one $50,000 grant to The Next Door, to support the leadership of parents through the Valle Verde program.
The Latino Partnership Program of Oregon Community Foundation works with nonprofits that offer culturally specific initiatives on housing, education, economic development, childcare and other services. “The new grants prioritize programs and projects that make advances in three focus areas: education, leadership development and wealth building,” said a press release.
