Broncos in trouble & College Bowl Season
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – Were in the midst of Winter Break for Athletics on the Western Slope, but there still is some action on the gridiron with serious implications.
In the NFL the Denver Broncos were not able to break a playoff drought that dates back to 2015, after losing a back and fourth game in overtime to the Cincinnati Bengals, keeping the Bengals shot at the playoffs alive.
In the College Football world, a pair of Colorado Colleges were looking for Bowl victories, unfortunately it did not go well for either.
In Tucson, Arizona the Colorado State Rams offense stalled out against the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks, losing 43-17.
Down in San Antonio, Texas the Colorado Buffaloes did not fair much better losing to their state neighbors from the west in the BYU Cougars 36-14.
Over in the NBA the Nuggets rebounded in a big way after a tough loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, taking on the Detroit Pistons, with Nikola Jokic recording 37 points in a 134-121 Nuggets win.
