BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) — the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce recognized Together for Youth in Binghamton for its monthly spotlight on nonprofits.
According to the chamber, Together for Youth is a critical resource for local kids and parents in the foster system.
The Assistant Office Manager at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce Layla Etienne said it is an important resource for families to be aware of, especially around the holidays.
“Regardless of what they celebrate or if they celebrate at all it’s a great place to be cozy with your family they have a great environment down there,” Etienne said. “They make sure that they have Christmas trees up and all that kind of stuff there’s lots of toys for the kids and it could be a laid-back environment.”
The non-profit provides trauma-informed care for affected families in the area and connects foster children with foster and biological parents.
