Mercy Health Foundation Southeast awards 14 defibrillators to area nonprofits
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Mercy Health Foundation Southeast awards over a dozen automated external defibrillators during their annual AED Award Luncheon.
According to Mercy Southeast, they awarded 14 AED devices to area nonprofits on Tuesday, December 10.
Funds for the devices were primarily raised through the foundation’s annual Wine & Chocolate Pairing event in early 2024.
Amanda Baert, the foundation’s ambassador president, presented the AEDS to these local nonprofits:
- Chaffee Parks
- Fruitland Community Church
- Jackson R-2 School District
- Miner Baptist Church
- Safe House of Southeast Missouri
- SEMO Mudcats Youth Mountain Bike Club
- Southeast Behavior Intervention & Consultation
- SEMO NASV
- St. Augustine Parish & School
- St. Francis Xavier Church & School
- Trinity Lutheran Church
- Little Hornets Learning Center
- Whitewater Methodist Church
- Second Missionary Baptist Church
Mercy Southeast says tickets and sponsorships are available for the 2025 Southeast Wine and Chocolate Pairing, slated for Saturday, February 22, at the Cape Girardeau Country Club to benefit next year’s class of nonprofits in need of an AED.
