Security Mutual donates $50,000 to support regional non-profits
Security Mutual Insurance Company announced a generous $50,000 donation to five local non-profits in October, reinforcing its commitment to community development and support. Each organization received $10,000 to advance their essential services across the region.
The recipients of this year’s contributions are the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, Foodnet Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties, Hospicare and Palliative Care Services, and T-Burg Takes on Pediatric Cancer. The donations will help fund efforts ranging from delivering meals to homebound individuals to supporting cancer patients and constructing homes for families in need.
“Security Mutual has a strong tradition of supporting local organizations that address community needs,” said Ron Wilder, President of Security Mutual Insurance. “We are honored to assist these impactful non-profits, as they play a vital role in enhancing residents’ quality of life and providing care and service.”
The company’s directors, officers, and staff were involved in selecting the organizations, emphasizing the personal connection and dedication of the Security Mutual team to improving the community.
The donation is the latest in Security Mutual’s long history of philanthropic work in the region. Each of the selected non-profits is recognized for its meaningful contributions to residents’ lives, whether through health support, hunger relief, or housing initiatives.
