Help Maryland Capital Enterprises grow local businesses this Giving Tuesday

SALISBURY, Md – Giving Tuesday falls on December 3rd this year and non-profits across Delmarva are teaming up with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore for a local giving event. The event is called “Shore Gives More.” One of the non-profits involved in the project is Maryland Capital Enterprises. The non-profit empowers businesses to grow, to create jobs and generate wealth on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and across the State.

“Say you’ve got a great idea for a business and it’s wonderful, but you’re just on the edge of not getting that bank loan . . . we’re here to help you get the funding, the free training. If you need free mentoring and building your business plan, cash flow projections, we’ll show you how to do all of that, all of those teaching services are free of charge,” explains MCE Marketing and Fundraising Manager Dory Hayman.

Officials with MCE say small businesses have a big influence on our national economy and they are here to help you succeed, no matter how small your vision may be.

“Come to us, there are people who’ve though ‘Well I don’t know if I’m making money, I don’t know if this is good enough’, and they came to us and they found out yeah you can get off the ground, you can make it happen. So don’t prejudge your idea or yourself, come to us and let us help you,” says Hayman.

MCE serves all of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the City of Baltimore, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County. For more on their services check out their website.

Hayman says money raised on Giving Tuesday will help fund events like their Women’s Business Conference coming up next March. You can visit their Shore Gives More fundraising page here.
