MILLINGTON, Tenn. (WMC) – One woman and three Shelby County deputies are recovering after a house fire in Millington.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at Port Haven Drive and Lake Port Drive.
When the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrived, three deputies went into the home to rescue the bedridden woman.
According to SCSO, they found the woman and carried her out safely.
The Shelby County Fire Department then arrived and extinguished the fire in the kitchen before it spread to the rest of the house.
The Sheriff’s Office says both the woman and the three deputies suffered from smoke inhalation. All four were taken to Methodist North Hospital in non-critical condition.
The deputies were treated and released from the hospital.
