WATERTOWN — Nonprofits that assist with the quality of life in the tri-county region now have the opportunity to apply for a share of up to $20,000 in grant funding from the Northern New York Community Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Council.
Council members will notify the finalists selected to present proposals. During the last round, six grants that totaled $20,000 were awarded to nonprofit organizations in the tri-county area.
“This leadership program relies heavily on active participation from the community. We are hopeful that charitable organizations throughout the tri-county region will thoughtfully consider bringing programs or projects to present to the students,” Community Foundation executive director Rande S. Richardson said in a news release. “It is essential to continue to increase awareness of the important work local groups are doing to improve the quality of life for the residents of Northern New York.”
