Oregon Trail Community Foundation marked national Community Foundation Week by presenting over $206,000 to seven area non-profits.
This week, funds were announced for The Cirrus House, Diaper Depot, CAPWN, 11:13 Ministries, Weekend Backpack Program, Vine Church Sack Lunch Program and the Meals on Wheels program.
For more than a century, philanthropic institutions have served as a trusted partner and resource whose effect can be seen in the lives of millions and in the vibrant neighborhoods that continue to thrive through their mission-driven work. During this annual celebration, community foundations convene to share and reflect on the stories of impact from their recent work.
OTCF says there are still limited funds available from a grants from the former Neva Mae Robinson Trust, which wished for the foundation to provide a giving opportunity for charitable organizations providing food, clothing, shelter, medical care and other benefits to low-income persons or disadvantaged persons who may be mentally or physically challenged, living within a 100 mile radius of Scottsbluff.
