Noah’s Giving Table helps to provide 1,500 meals

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – Noah’s Giving Table is a charity organization run by a 7-year-old kid named Noah. Noah recently sponsored the Food Bank of the Rockies and their Family Night.

Noah runs a lemonade/hot cocoa stand. The money he generates from his hard work goes to local organizations and non-profits, which in turn goes to those in the community who need it most. “I am here to help everyone and help everyone help others,” said Noah.

We asked Nancy Bacon, Noah‘s mom if she knew where Noah‘s inspiration and passion came from. She said, “I don’t know. I do know that he sees people who are struggling, and he knows they need help. He just wants to help in any way he can.”

At this month’s Family Night, Noah donated enough money to provide 1,500 meals to people across the Western Slope. “People tend to be surprised that a 7-year-old chooses to do all this. People are really, really supportive of him, which is nice to see. Our community here is amazing,” said Bacon.

Noah was not the only one investing his time in helping others. Nearly 100 people from the Grand Valley volunteered at Family Night, working to pack and sort food for the community. “There are non-profits in this community doing good work, and they need a little extra to keep going and serve our neighbors,” shared Sue Ellen Rodwick, the director of Food Bank of the Rockies Western Slope.

Noah is an accomplished kid, and he still has a lot ahead of him. We asked him the real reason behind what he does and the real reason behind his drive, and we understood why Noah’s Giving Table is well set.

“Because it is fun.” – Noah

Noah’s Giving Table is currently raising money to go towards HomewardBound.
