Thrift shop announces grants to nonprofits | Opinion
Editor:
Especially this time of year, the ladies of the Aspen Thrift Shop give thanks to our community. For 75 years, our volunteers have turned your donated goods into thousands of dollars’ worth of contributions to local nonprofit organizations. We couldn’t do it without you!
In November, the Aspen Thrift Shop provided funds to the following: Age Friendly Carbondale, Aspen Words, Carbondale Clay Center, Carbondale Community Oven, CASA of the Ninth, Challenge Aspen, Endless Pawsibilities Service Dogs, Explore Booksellers-Public Interest Research, Independence Pass Foundation, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Literacy Outreach, Pitkin County Senior Services, RF Early Language and Literacy Alliance, The Meeting Place, RF Valley Storytellers, Special Olympics Colorado, The Art Campus at Willits and West Mountain Regional Health Alliance.
Further information on the Aspen Thrift Shop and these organizations may be found on their websites.
Many of our friends and neighbors participate in end-of-year giving. If you are interested, the Aspen Thrift Shop accepts cash donations as well as on our website, through the City Market Community Rewards (The Thrift Shop of Aspen, Organization #YR224), or Colorado Gives Day, coming up on Dec. 10.
Thank you for all you do to benefit our community!
