Impacting our community with a donation
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – There’s a chance for you to give back to local non-profits, and it requires little time and a monetary donation. Right now, Impact100 Gulf Coast is in need of more women to get involved.
The group awards more than $100,000 in grants to local non-profits. Impact100 Gulf Coast serves six counties: Bay, Gulf, Washington, Jackson, Calhoun and Holmes Counties.
How does it work?
At least 100 women donate $1,000 a year. This money, totaling $100,000 is then given to a local charity. Some areas where the grant money could go including: arts, culture and history, environment and recreation and family, health and wellness.
All of the membership money, $1,000 per person, goes toward grants. All members get to vote on the finalists for the grants.
Goal of three grants worth $300,000:
Right now, Impact100 has enough money to give out two $100,000 grants, but they are also close to having enough money to give out three grants, worth a total of $300,000.
How can I get involved?
The goal is to get to 300 members by Thursday Oct. 31. To learn more and to get involved, visit the website here.
