United Midcoast Charities to host planned giving strategies for nonprofits workshop
United Midcoast Charities’ workshop, “Planned Giving Strategies for Nonprofits”. UMC is partnering with Paul Spizzuoco, CFP, of Appolon Wealth Management Advisors to present an informative session on the different types of planned gifts, their benefits and how to know if it is a good fit for your donor.
The session will help participants identify when, and how to more comfortably discuss these gift options with donors.
The workshop will take place November 13 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the UMC office at 87 Elm Street in Camden. It will provide insights and practical tools to help nonprofits integrate planned giving into their fundraising conversations.
Designed for nonprofit leaders, development officers, and fundraising professionals, the workshop will cover essential topics, such as what qualifies as a planned gift, what are the different types of planned gifts and their respective benefits, when and how to engage potential donors, and leveraging planned giving gifts to support long-term financial sustainability. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from an expert in the field, ask lots of questions, and network with peers to share best practices.
“Planned Giving is an essential component of sustainable fundraising that is often misunderstood and doesn’t always imply estate planning,” said Becca Gildred, Executive Director of UMC, in a news release. “This workshop will empower nonprofits with the knowledge and resources they need to build strong, lasting donor relationships and secure their financial future.”
Registration is now open. This workshop is free for current UMC grantee organizations, and open to other area nonprofits for a $20 fee. Space is limited so RSVP right away. Call 207-236-2299 or email admin@unitedmidcoastcharities.org to register.
