Sign before Oct 31 or your NPO might not get funding
The Gauteng Department of Social Development urges all NPOs who have received Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for quarter three and four funding, to submit signed SLAs by no later than October 31.
The spokesperson for the MEC of the Gauteng Department of Social Development, Teddy Gomba, said late submissions will delay the processing of payments by the department.
“Since the beginning of the month, the department has confirmed the existence of 1 774 business plans for funding across various programmes aligned with its mandate. Out of these 1 774 business plans, 1 640 SLAs have been generated and distributed to NPOs for signing, and 1 526 signed SLAs have been received back from NPOs. Of these, 1 481 SLAs have been generated into contracts on the system for payment,” Gomba said.
He added payment runs occur daily and as of October 24, a total of 1 481 SLAs have been paid.
“This is a crucial opportunity for NPOs to continue their vital work in serving the most vulnerable members of their communities. The department is committed to ensuring that funding is disbursed efficiently to organisations that meet the necessary criteria and deadlines. Failure to submit the required documentation on time may result in delays or forfeiture of funding for the third and fourth quarters.
“NPOs that have not yet submitted their SLAs are advised to do so as soon as possible to avoid last-minute submissions and ensure that all requirements are met. Should any organisation require assistance or clarity on the submission process, they are encouraged to contact their respective regional offices. The Gauteng Department of Social Development remains committed to supporting NPOs and strengthening partnerships to improve the lives of our communities,” Gomba concluded.
